BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY)

Minimum Admission Requirement for B.Sc.(IT)

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course of Bachelor of Science – Information Technology, shall have passed XII Standard Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its Equivalent with Mathematics as one of the subjects and should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate and 40% marks in aggregate in case of Reserved category, at one and the same sitting.
OR
Candidates who have passed Diploma in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/ Computer Technology / Information Technology / Electrical, Electronic and Allied Branches, Mechanical and Allied Branches, Civil and Allied Branches of Engineering after S.S.C.(Xth ) are Eligible for admission to direct admission to the Second Year of the B.Sc.(IT) degree course. However, the Diploma should be recognized by the board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body. Minimum Marks required 45% aggregate for Open category candidates and 40% aggregate for reserved category candidates.
AND
Students with post H.S.C. – Diploma in Computer Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Technology / Information Technology and allied branches will be eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of B.Sc. (IT). However, the Diploma should be recognized by the Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Government body.

Mode of Admission

The admission to the course should strictly be by merit, maintaining statutory reservations for different categories. There is no “Management Quota” in any University Departments. The process for admission in Government / Private aided / unaided, Minority Aided and minority unaided colleges affiliated to this University is to be followed strictly in accordance with office circular.

Other Information

The seats granted to each of the affiliated colleges offering this course will be filled on the basis of merit. The admission to the course will be made by the respective colleges offering the course, as per the admission procedure laid down by the University of Mumbai. The reservation of seats shall be as per the State Government / University rules.

BACHELOR OF COMMERCE (B.COM.)

Minimum Admission Requirement for B.Com.

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the three year degree course leading to the Bachelor of Commerce must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination with vocational subjects/minimum competency based vocational course conducted by the different Divisional Boards of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
OR
Must have passed and examination of another University or Body recognized as equivalent to Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) Examination.

BACHELOR OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES (B.M.S.)

Minimum Admission requirement for Bachelors of Management Studies (BMS)

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the B.M.S. Degree Course shall have passed H.S.C. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination or Diploma in any Engineering branches with two years or three years duration after S.S.C. conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State or its equivalent examination by securing minimum 45% marks for general category (in one attempt) at the respective Examination and minimum 40% marks for the reserved category (in one attempt). No college shall conduct any entrance test in any form and the admissions are purely based on merit duly following the reservation policy as per the norms of Government of Maharashtra. While drawing the merit list, weightage has to be given to students from Arts, Commerce and Science Stream at 12th standard level. The stream wise weightage to be given is as under:

Commerce-45%
Arts -25%
Science- 25%
Diploma in Engineering and others- 5%
The applications are to be accepted and processed by the colleges stream wise separately and the merit list is to be displayed stream wise taking into account the reservation policy prescribed by the Government of Maharashtra.

  1. The merit list is to be prepared and displayed stream wise.
  2. In case if no applications are received under the “Diploma in Engineering and other Category” or if the seats remain vacant in “Diploma in Engineering and other Category” after all the merit lists/forms are exhausted, the vacant seats must be transferred to Commerce Stream.
  3. In case if no application is received from any stream the vacant seats are to be distributed equally between the remaining two streams only.
  4. After the first merit list is displayed, if any seat allotted to one stream remains vacant, the same shall be distributed equally between the remaining two streams. In case of vacancy in one stream is of single/odd number of seats, the single seat is to be allotted to the Commerce Stream. In case if no applications are available from the two streams, then all the vacant seats of such two streams must be transferred to the third stream.
  5. Step-(d) be repeated for the subsequent merit lists till all the forms are exhausted or the final merit list is displayed whichever is earlier.

BACHELOR IN MASS MEDIA (B.M.M.)

Minimum Admission Requirement for Bachelors in Mass Media

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course in Bachelor of Mass Media shall have passed XIIth Std. Examination of Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from the Science, Arts or Commerce Stream.

No college shall conduct any entrance test in any form and the admissions are purely based on merit duly following the reservation policy as per the norms of Government of Maharashtra. While drawing the merit list, weightage has to be given to students from Arts, Commerce and Science Stream at 12th Standard level. The stream wise weightage to be given is as under:

Arts-50%
Commerce- 25%
Science- 25%

B.COM. ACCOUNTING & FINANCE (B.A.F.)

Minimum Admission requirement for Bachelors of Accounting and Finance (BAF)

  1. A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) degree course shall have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate at first attempt (40% in case of reserved category).
  2. Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent/affiliated college/recognized institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himself/herself with the University.

B.COM. BANKING & INSURANCE (B.B.I.)

Minimum Admission requirement for Bachelors of Banking and Insurance (BBI)

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Banking and Insurance) degree course should have passed XII std. Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in the case of reserved category candidates) at one and the same sitting. Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the affiliated colleges conducting the course shall have to register enrol himself/herself with the University.

B.COM. FINANCIAL MARKETS(B.F.M.)

Minimum Admission requirement for Bachelors of Financial Market (BFM)

A candidate for being eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Markets) degree course shall have passed XII std. examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent and secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of reserved category) at one and the same sitting. Every candidate admitted to the degree course in the constituent/affiliated college/recognized institution, conducting the course, shall have to register himself/herself with the University.
